What is "BarberShop"?

"BarberShop" is four part harmony sung by four (or more) unaccompanied voices. The melody is (usually) sung by the LEAD. The TENOR sings harmonizing notes above the Lead while the BASS sings harmony below the Lead. The BARITONE provides the in-between notes that complete the chords that give Barbershop harmony its distinctive rich four-part sound.  Watch a great video that tells why men love to sing barbershop, and how it makes their lives better (Watch the Video)

Do you need to be a great singer to be a Barbershopper ? ..No ! !  If you are an accomplished singer this is a plus, but most new chorus members have had no formal music or voice training and don't read music.  If you can carry a tune, we can teach you to sing in four part harmony!  As part of our practices, we will teach you the craft of singing. If you love to sing in the car or in the shower,  join us and enjoy the fun and fellowship that is BarberShop!

The only thing that we like better than an audience is a NEW MEMBER ! ! !  Come and share the heat of the stage lights and enjoy the roar of applause !  Join us; you'll make friends and create memories that will last you a lifetime.  If you like to sing and are a male of any age, you can be a barbershopper.  It's easy, it's fun (and you'll get hooked on it!)

Ladies, you too can enjoy making this fine style of music. Contact the webmaster with the link below for information.
